Nobody is saying have kids right out of high school. I just suggested to TH03 that is since he’s hit 30, I recommend he not wait too much longer to have kids. Didn’t tell him to knock up his wife tonight or anything. Just not wait too much longer to do it.

A lot of things are absolute. Not all, but a lot are. Wisdom comes from knowing the difference.

I love your post the most. You come in after 6+ pages and even have a little graph. Completely oblivious to what the word rate means.

Millennials are set to be the most educated generation yet.
Only because you, like too many unfortunately poorly educated individuals, equate education to college attendance. Nevermind grade inflation, nevermind the fact that pumping out millions of graduates that are "more educated" yet less capable of fundamental problem solving, nevermind that today's college graduates are actually dumber and lack the depth of reasoning and higher-level critical thinking skills than the college graduates of previous generations. A generation of tech-savy incompetents that can make their smart phone do anything but teach the how to make a functional tracking report in Excel. It blows the minds of the average Millennial when shown how basic Trigonometric concepts can be used to make stair stringers instead of relying on prefab'd ones from the hardware store.
To quote from a 2015 report:
quote:
Half of American Millennials score below the minimum standard of literacy proficiency. Only two countries scored worse by that measure: Italy (60 percent) and Spain (59 percent). The results were even worse for numeracy, with almost two-thirds of American Millennials failing to meet the minimum standard for understanding and working with numbers. That placed U.S. Millennials dead last for numeracy among the study's 22 developed countries.
To top that off, despite their reputation for being tech-savvy, American Millennials also scored poorly on problem-solving in technology-rich environments, or PS-TRE for short. In that test, 56 percent of American Millennials failed to meet basic proficiency, again ranking them last among the 22 countries.

Quite a melt to a factual statement.

Sounds like you old fricks shouldn’t have put that common core crap in schools.

Oh look, must have hit too close to the nerve with this child. Context; something else your generation fails to understand.

Nice try but if you did your homework you'd know that Common Core is largely a product created and supported by the oldest of the Millennial cohort. That Millennial, with the BA in Elementary Education, gleefully praising and teaching the Common Core standards probably doesn't know that one of the architects of the Common Core standard testified that it was not suitable for STEM majors. That's ok, you are just as clueless of that fact.
