I still won't care what they think. Unless the suburban moms want to buy pain pills from me.

Which, will lead to a lower divorce rate.......

Right. There's still a lot of millennials that will end up married as well. Feels premature to judge these statistics.

I know, I know they all are. Problem is: I was in "love" and didn't listen to my buddies who tried to warn me.

I've stood in a few friend's weddings where I was thinking I'd give a year or 2 tops. I'm 3 for 3

Could it just be that they aren't getting married?

I would venture the rate may lower then.......The ones still unmarried likely have a better chance of staying married when/if they do wed

My SO is from an immigrant community where it is common to not move out of your parents house until you get married. Basically they still have the social mores of the boomer generation but are millennial age. We are in our early 30's, and the millennials from her community that all got married at 18-20 are divorcing/divorced like crazy. Who knew that horny 18 year olds weren't good at making mature, life altering decisions?

Unfortunately it's also common to start cranking out kids as soon you get married. So now there's all of these divorced couples with no education and 3+ kids at 30.

sure you will. Just as their are social circles in high school, their are social circles in the parent groups of kids schools.

Im not saying you want to strive to be a mean girl, but to say you dont care at all is BS.

even if we waited 5 more years, I’d be 40 at that tee ball game and I’ll call the other parents tards for thinking I’m a grandpa

You may not believe it now. But when you hit your 40s, you change. It’s almost as big of a physical change as when you hit puberty. I have been active in my kids’ activities since my son was 4 or 5. He’s 16 now, daughter is 10. I’m 48. And I gotta say. That shite keeps getting harder and harder with each passing year.

I think (hopefully) I’m done coaching sports, I coached my daughters softball team this past season and I really wasn’t physically able or ready to do it. But they needed someone to do it and all but insisted I coach one more season. As for my son, he’s playing varsity football and track. And while I don’t coach him of course, I am on the sidelines and at a lot of practices as the team photographer.

If only 3 couples get married, and 2 couples divorce, that is still a higher rate than 50,000,000 couples getting married and 25,000,000 getting divorced

Make it $20k and you’re on. I’m not going to ruin my kid’s childhood over a grand.

True. But like I said, I wouldn’t wait too much longer. Trust me, you don’t want to be that guy at the ballpark that everyone thinks is coaching his grandkid’s tee-ball team when you’re really coaching your kid.

Oh gmafb. Having kids is a lot bigger than how some random people might perceive you at your yet to be born child's sports activity.

Are people really that fricking vain? Ridiculous. Probably a boomer mentality.

Why do we believe this small sample size? I know so many people who you can classify as millenials that got married and divorced before 30-35.

Somewhat funny story and relevant to this convo.

I am 30, my little brother is 23. My mom was 40 and dad was 44 when he was born.

I used to help coach my little brother's team so the soccer moms knew me. First game of the season, my dad goes instead of my mom. Mother of one of the players goes "Did your grandfather come to game today?"

I died laughing explaining it was my dad.

i see you didnt read the whole thread, we went on to elaborate that you might not be in the physical condition to interact with your kid growing up as you get older.
