There's always exceptions, but to say it's not true at all hasn't been my experience.

Can we all agree that Zoomers is the dumbest name for a generation yet?
I saw them referred to as iGen somewhere which I thought was a better name.
My kid is that generation and it's pretty appropriate.

When the term snowflake came out it was Millennials calling the age below them that. So idk how that term got associated with Millennials. Millennials were out of college when that term was floating around.

This is a ridiculous statement.

Nah. Job hopping = $$$ much more often than not.
But this thread is about wealth/savings. If you are constantly switching jobs you are not being able to fully participate in employer sponsored retirement plans.

People born in 1990 remember a time before cell phones and the internet were mainstream, the world before 9/11, the Super Nintendo, and Michael Jordan playing basketball.
You think about it.
I almost want to say you're just trolling.
Posted on 2/21/20 at 12:13 pm to CarRamrod
Kids born in 2000 have never known a world without the internet and prominent cell/smartphones.
The same cannot be said about kids born in the 90s.

A lot of plans only retire 6 months before contributing. I’m lucky mine started from the first paycheck. I guess it just depends how much more you’re making and how much you save from your new pay raise

Probably not made by a boomer

quote:i have never seen this. the old model of working for 5 years before you can participate is all but gone. even state and federal jobs have gone to a 401k style plan over the racket of pensions.
