I love the meme that six figs is standard blue collar income and people are just too lazy to take those jobs.
I'd bet it's the top 5% or smaller. Probably almost always old baws that have been doing it for 20+ years.

you thing these AC companies are paying these techs 50% of your bill?
According to anyone over the age of 50, 100% of blue-collar workers own their own businesses and make 6 figures.

A few things. Education: Bachelor degree gets you a job working fast food. Masters and Dr is what differentiates you now. So Delay actual work by 8 yrs.
Also on the not owning homes front. The whole housing bubble happened right as they were at the point of even considering housing. It's just been the last 2 yrs that housing has been considered a decent thing to invest in again.
Then last thing. Job hopping. Many aren't content with their job or pay so are quick to start over elsewhere which lags them behind also.
FWIW, MANY are doing just fine though.

China and large companies been buying up starter homes and renting them driving up purchasing prices. Your options are move to the burbs and drive 40 minutes to work living in a house to big or paying the same amount for a tiny apartment in the city. Many had trouble finding a job after college because of the recession. College tution was much higher, heth insurance much higher, purchasing a car is higher, stagnant wages along with a few other things. It is basic economics. Did they not teach that to the other generations?

Not a surprise
Everything is expensive as shite these days. It can be hard to keep up even if you make decent money

The Millennials I know spend a lot of time and money on education, but lack the experience that my generation (GenX) had at their age. Companies still hire an experienced person over an educated person. And Millennials think because they are educated they shouldn't have to work their way up at a company.

I think they could be paying them 50% what is paid in terms of labor. Not parts

Gen Z you dolt. Theres a reason i said "arguably". There is a valid argument that people born in 1978-1985 had competently different child hoods as someone born in 1990. We have gotten into this before. And this isnt a generation thread. But once we get further and further away from Generation y i believe it will be split in 2. Because to say someone born in 1981 is the same as someone born in 1995 is asinine. One was born with a cell phone and one still had a single rotary phone on the wall.

Job hoping usually leads to higher wages though.

What exactly is a solution to this?
Rent and housing cost control?? Would be a disaster

Can we all agree that Zoomers is the dumbest name for a generation yet?

someone born in 1990 have more in common with someone born in 2000 than they do with someone born in 1985.
This is a ridiculous statement.
