He does have some impressive gopro and other camera footage I'd like to make a documentary with though. From Iraq, Afghanistan, Pakistan and Somalia.

My brother was Air Force. All he has is pics sitting in Sadam’s throne, sitting in his Ferrari, and holding a golden AK. I think they slept in the palace for a couple nights and then a few guys got court martialed for shite they stole from it

They didn’t call in the Berets or Rangers to get Bin Laden. That speaks volumes

It’s worth noting though that ALL of Delta are special forces.

That ALL of 75th Ranger are special forces.

That ALL green berets are special forces.

But only SEAL team 6/DEVGRU are considered special forces.

Not the whole organization.

Maybe not court martialed, but they for sure had a bad time. I think one of them tried to steal a rug IIRC

I remember them busting some guys from, I think, 10th Mountain but they had found some Three Kings level shite. Millions in gold, weapons, jewelry, and were just blatant about it. I was there at the time and most people were more low key about it. Mostly bayonets, the occasional pistol, stuff like that.

There was a lot of gold. I'd have buried a bag of bars in it with a gps in the desert near enough a safe zone that wouldnt get over run anytime soon..or the cliche in a grave thing.

Went home, retired..planned to "take a trip to remember" or some bullshite, come back in a few years later to reclaim my property, retrieve my bag to either mail to myself or try to take on the plane..bang..I get unexpectedly sniped.

Mohammed claims my payday.

Yeah he said almost everyone brought a bayonet back. Now that I’m thinking about it, I’m almost positive one of the guys who got busted was trying to ship some giant rug from the palace home

There's only one "Special Forces" and it's the Green Berets. Everyone else is SOF.

I don't know man. I used to think that too but I work with a former Delta dude and he never shuts the frick up about all his exploits. I also work with a former CCT who was with Seal Team 6 and he rarely talks about his former life.
I've known both. Some whose egos require that they let you know they're SF or ex-SF and those who just go about their business. The SEALs do seem to have a culture where operators see who can out-do the next guy. Just boils down to maturity -- some join because of the status it provides and some want to just serve.

Names aside, they are side by side in the special ops command structure.

Probably love it. Imagine them sticking their head out of the window when you’re doing 120

They recruit from DEVGRU, Delta, and the others. I'd say they are the probably harder to get into. They were also in on the Osama raid along with some mix of DEVGRU. Not to say they are "above DEVGRU or Delta, but they have their sphere of activity.

Wrong. There’s a difference between special forces and special operations. GB’s and Rangers are special forces, Devgru and Delta are special operations.

This is a frickin dumb question, but I’m gonna ask it anyway

Do the medics need to know how to save the dog too? Or do they bring them back but not put as much effort into it as a soldier?
