re: Military Buffs: Navy SEALs Are Comparable to Which Army Unit?

I don't know much about SAG but I don't think they necessarily do the same types of missions as Delta/DEVGRU. When the government needs someone to do a no shite commando type raid they go to the military. If I had to guess the SAG guys are mostly doing surveillance type stuff that might require a guy that can shoot pretty good if he needs to.

By definition only SF is Special Forces. The rest are Special Operations Forces

Wrong. There’s a difference between special forces and special operations. GB’s and Rangers are special forces, Devgru and Delta are special operations.
But it's all semantics if you ask me.

Modern war dogs follow a similar regimen. The biggest difference today is the price tag to get a dog prepared for battle. The cost of training a single animal can be $20,000 to $40,000, depending on its specialization [source: Bumiller]. Regardless of its assignment after training, dogs and handlers travel together to their target destination, using the conveyance of choice for their specific branch of the military. For example, U.S. Air Force dogs often jump in tandem with their handlers, while Marine canines are more likely to travel aboard ships and then, to get from ship to shore, aboard amphibious assault vehicles.
With so much time, effort and money spent on war dogs, you can bet the Department of Defense likes to take care of them

Do the medics need to know how to save the dog too? Or do they bring them back but not put as much effort into it as a soldier?

They perform a different mission, but pull from everyone. They are "outside" the military chain of command and probably get paid a bit better. Your right though, it is definitely a set of guys that give our President plausible deniability.

They're second to none. No other SF can compare.

Supposedly pigs have anatomy that is remarkably similar to the human being.

Anybody ever just gut it and get cracking on dinner?

I hear IDF operators raise a kitten from birth, then are forced to kill it after it grows....apparently a lot of teams do something along these lines.

Second to no one. No other branch compares, Seals do it all, the others, not so much.

As someone who was never in the military, I don’t mind one now and again
I couldn’t imagine eating 2-3 a day for a prolonged period
Spaghetti with meat sauce and chicken parm weren’t bad
That bacon cheddar cheese was good to me
