Well, that makes me sad. Tigers are a majestic creature.

I've heard from a high ranking lsu exec that they were planning on having a tailgate in memorial of Mike. They are going to BBQ Mike and eat him. Mike was badly eaten up with cancer, I wouldn't recommend it.
You piece of south Arkansas trash.

Mike VI, like all bengals, was a magnificent beast. My family enjoyed visiting him when we traveled to Baton Rouge to visit family. I am glad my kids got to see him one more time this past Saturday.
Now, long live Mike VII, wherever he may be!

LSU has begun the search for a young, male tiger. As with Mikes IV, V and VI, LSU will seek to obtain a donated tiger from a rescue facility.
For more information on Mike’s cancer diagnosis and treatment, please go to www.lsu.edu/miketiger/news.php or visit his social media pages (facebook.com/MikeTigerVI and @MikeTigerVI).
Glad to hear. I was afraid the university would puss out and just stop the whole program.
Which makes no damned sense. Why not take an animal that could not be returned to the wild for whatever reason? Rescue etc.
Terrible existence, death, starvation and death if returned to wild, or a zoo quality habitat and be revered until it dies?
Win-win

We were gonna try to see him this Friday. fricking turnarounds

We took our son to one of the Friday LSU tours less than 2 weeks ago. Didn't see Mike at first, but eventually we found him napping in the shade in a corner. I'm hlad my son got to see him, especially if the PETA fricks get their way and end this proud tradition.
