Will Mike Brown's family get the same kind of money Freddie Gray's got?

A federal wrongful-death lawsuit brought by Michael Brown's parents over his fatal shooting by a white Ferguson police officer will not go to trial for at least another year.
U.S. District Judge E. Richard Webber in St. Louis has scheduled a trial in the case of Michael Brown Sr. and Lesley McSpadden against the city of Ferguson, its former police chief and ex-officer Darren Wilson, who killed Brown, for October 2016.
The black teenager's death during a confrontation with Wilson on August 9 last year led to protests - both violent and peaceful - in Ferguson, Missouri, and other cities across the country.

Ferguson's police department came under fire for their handling of those protests, deploying officers in riot gear, tear gas and heavy armored vehicles, which critics said served to inflame the situation.
Those protests were rekindled after the announcement that a St. Louis County grand jury opted against indicting Wilson in Brown's death in November last year.
The decision set off a night of looting and arson fires in and around Ferguson.

The U.S. Department of Justice also later cleared Wilson, who resigned.
Brown's death was one of a series of police killings of unarmed black men and teenagers that sparked a civil-rights movement under the banner Black Lives Matter that is seeking changes in how police deal with minorities.

Sadly, yes.

They won't get anywhere near that kind of money.

Unlike freddy, the cops did nothing wrong. Hopefully his trash family gets stuck with court costs.

Kudos to Obama's DOJ for absolutely demolishing the prospects for a civil award in this instance.

This case doesn't look as horrible for the LEOs as the others do.

No. From the little that I know of the 2 situations, they are really pretty different. There is reason to believe that the police really fricked up with Freddie Gray. No one really knows what happened with Mike Brown besides the officer.

I'll bet anyone that the video of the convenience store will be excluded. Won't even come up at the trial.

Always sad to see a young person taken from us too early. Rip Mike

They will win...can we really expect 12 impartial jurors to be selected in St. Louis?
