In a time where the media makes smokers out to be akin to literally Hitler they push the normalization of morbid obesity......it ain't happening

Props to you, especially because it's usually the other way around when people quit smoking

To let oneself get obese, even fat, shows that there is typically a huge lack of self respect and pride within someone’s own mind about there self. I dont see how this can make people suddenly respect there self more and not be fat.

Well, half the gyms in this country will likely be out of business when it opens back up, and many people will likely be depressed. I’m going to go with an increase in obesity rates for $1000 Alex.

Yeah it is not just easy.

We will enter a “weight loss great awakening” so to speak. The gyms will be teeming with newcomers, the sidewalks will be trodded upon by nascent feet, and fruits, veggies, etc wil see an increase in demand.

Maybe in the long run, but in the short term people will be more afraid of germs than they are of being fat. They might be more active, but I do not see a huge bump in the amount of people doing exercise outside in the summer in the south or in the winter in the north. People will come up with reasons to be lazy and germophobia is a reason.

I would say these closures are saving the most disgusting group of humans in the world from one thing that was killing them.

Low rent folks cannot go to the public horse troughs/bacterial caldrons known as asian buffets, pizza buffets, Ryans, Golden Corral and more.

Highly plausible.

The real life interpretation of WALL-E is still on display at any Popeye’s Louisiana Fatatorium:

Definitely hopeful wishing. Every year almost every gym is packed out for the 1st 2-3 weeks. Then it gets back to normal.

As soon as this is all over, Goldon Corral and some other places will be extremely packed.

But on one hand, during this time Ive seen a large influx of people walking/running/biking outside. That is prettt good to see. I like it cuz it's good for people to be active. I hate it because Im used to peace and quiet when I go jogging outside.

I don't see the changes. The only thing that has changed is that people aren't eating out because many restaurants are closed. But eating at home is still bad because the food you get at Wal-Mart or other retailers are very unhealthy. If anything people are gaining more weight because gyms are closing and they don't know how to work out at home.

I am running 5 miles a day out in the sun just to get out of the house safely, so this is working out just fine for me.

I do not agree. Those fat people your pulling for... are home over eating as we speak(or text). Most have issues, and attempt to deal with by overeating.

I am talking outta my arse here, but the overeating is probably made worse due to the increase stress of virus, not working, worry.....

A person doesn't become obese because they want to, the lack the drive, cognitive skills, or ability to control.
The best to hope for is they get sick, lose a shite ton of weight and manage to keep it off.

Lolz.

The threat of early death is no match for the average American's absolute lack of willpower.

Not necessarily sitting at home, but they're stuffing they're faces. Seems every fast food place has a handful of cars in line at any given time of day.

I'm gaining weight. I think I'll start jogging at lunch tomorrow or something. Maybe I'll have a pushup challenge with Waydown.
