With this I am guessing that the Field House Drive nomenclature for the street continues between the Cain Chemical Engineering and the EE building to meet South Stadium and does not start being called “W Campus Drive” after White Hall thru to South Stadium Drive like how it’s labeled in Apple Maps.

Most likely, which is the original design of the Quad (and why it's called the Quad):

Anyone have any memories of Middleton Library? I remember if I wanted to be in a quiet spot with the least amount of people around as possible I would go on the 3rd floor. I just remember when you got off the elevator you made a right, there was some doors and I always used this small table that had carvings in it from the 70s and 80s. People carved in their Greek letters, some vulgar shite that I used to look for when I took a break. "Call Mandy for a BJ" with her number.. stuff like that.

On one of the table legs, it looked liked someone used some type of market to draw it first then carved it in then tried to erase as much market as possible, but it was a what was supposed to be a penis I assume and under it, it had "cock rocket". One day when I was studying some guy passed by, then came back and was like "people put some hilarious things on these desk and tables" and he was look looking at the table.

I pointed to cock rocket and he thought it was the funniest thing he ever seen. He left then came back.. 5-10.. I really dont remember how long but he came back with 2 buddies to show them and one of the dudes.. This is why I remember this story.. One of them goes "That's what Erica should call Brent".. And they all laughed and I was just thinking "why does he think Erica needs to call that to Brent?" Did he launch the dick at her?

They're returning the Quad to what it was before the library.

So just East of the plane? Are any buildings coming down? Or just filling up that parking lot?

The eskimos are a nice touch

Are we still allowed to call them eskimos?

Amazing that they broke that one great space into 4 smaller blocks. Should be amazing when it returns.

From the architecture to the location, Middleton was a giant fricking mistake that never should have happened.

I'd bet on all the smaller buildings coming down. If they haven't already since that image was taken.

My guess is the old Manship Research building, animal science building, poultry building, and entomology building are going to be torn down.

I think the story of the construction of Middleton was tied into the building of the S. Endzone addition to Tiger Stadium giving us a full bowl, and that the aesthetics and sort of bare bones construction of each, was part of a compomise to appease the competing factions of who wanted what first.

Before Middleton, there was Hill Memorial Library

Originally built to replace a library housed in an old powder magazine, it served as the main university library before the construction of the current LSU Library in 1959.

Serious question, what kind of resources are available in a modern day college library that cannot be accessed with a computer? Or is it a lot of public use computers for those who don’t have them?

Hill Memorial Library

Very underrated spot on campus that frequently has interesting exhibits and an excellent reserve catalog.
