I don’t feel bad for the O lineman because he was overmatched, I feel bad for him because he has a coach that didn’t know how to address the problem. Blocking TE or FB, screens, running away from your evil son, etc.

I kind of felt that way on election night. Seeing how rough all of the Hillary supporters were taking it and crying, I felt a connection to their pain and really brought home that we may disagree on certain policies but we are all human and have feelings too.
oh goodness......but you don't share DNA with Trump.

It was pathetic! I can't understand the lack of coaching I saw.

Random peewee football story. This was 6 or 7 year olds. Everyone is generally the same size at this age and no one has any refined talent or experience. I was a small kid, played point guard in basketball my whole life, but at this age everyone was small. I'm on the interior offensive line, which is an absurdity nonetheless.
Kid across from me in a particular game was goddamn huge. I had anxiety like a mf'er prior to us going on offense. Ball gets snapped and I absolutely dominated this kid. He had not an athletic bone in his body. Probably went on to be in the band or something. I remember being astonished at how this kid that felt nearly twice my size could get shoved around by me.

Douchey thread to say the least. Living vicariously through your middle school children

You didn't get roped into $250 cleats like I did? I can't believe cleats even cost that much.

Somebody's got to lose. Wasn't your kid; good for him.

Congrats on being a grandpa at 45 and your son in jail for beating up both his baby mamas within the next ten years.
Oh, and he’ll probably try to fight his old man at some point, so there’s that.

My first game at 8 years old, I got smoked. I played NT in a 3 front as well. In one play the center and fullback both trucked me with the center landing on top of me knocking the breath out of me...thought I was dying. I was laid flat out on the 20 while everybody else was on the opposite end of the field in the end zone. My grandfather was yelling at me from the stands to get the hell up embarrassing the shite out of me.
Fast forward to the next year and I was doing the trucking. I learned my lesson. That's how these things work.

Whoa! For just cleats?!
I was out about $170 or so for both kids. But, the damned quarterback club dues and all the other add ons added up to north of $500.

I appreciate the pride you have in your son/sons.... but still a strange thread.he probably just matured a lot quicker than the other kids. I’ve seen/was in school with several kids like this. Stud in jr high or little league bc they were more physically advanced than other kids... but after 9th or 10th grade the others caught up to them.
Might not be the case - but more times than not it is.

Also , there must be like 10 boys in your school if both of your sons are starting DEs for the football team.
I would say his genes are slightly better than your shitty ones

These type of posts never go over very well on the OT.

a bit of braggery (not a word) I suppose, but I was truly surprised about the empathy I felt for the other kid.
That said, leave the thread if it bothers you.

Of course not. Didn't expect it to.
The primary objective was to get a handful of honest responses.
