Middle School football and bittersweet success: my kid destroys someone

I have twins playing football and I sometimes refer to them as Good twin and Evil twin.
Evil twin lines up at DE in a 3 man front and this week ahead of the game, I watched the other team's tackle during warm ups and realized the kid was in trouble. kind of a tubby kid with poor technique.
Anyways, as expected, it was brutal. Evil twin humiliated the kid and affected 80% of the other team's offensive plays.
Afterwards, I was stoked for my boy, but then realized that other kid went through a rough learning spot. There wasn't any smack talk on the field (as far as grandstanding type of humiliation), but the shear physicality of it was bad.
Took the edge off the enjoyment knowing a little boy had a tough time.....
We all get caught up in these things sometime and miss the collateral effects.
That said, there is no reason for apologies.

That kid will hopefully work his arse off and pancake your kid 25 times next season.

Didn't you post something like this before? I think you did.
Also , there must be like 10 boys in your school if both of your sons are starting DEs for the football team.

To hell with that. You should have bought your boy a steak dinner then taken him to a strip club.

2nd largest middle school in the US
Good twin is an olineman with scattered time at DE.
Evil twin never leaves the field, OT and DE plus special teams.

Cool subtle brag
oh, not subtle at all. Evil twin is a bad arse.
I seriously got to thinking about the other kid. It really did make me pause.
ETA: Good twin is more like me. I had ability for days but, unless driven to anger, didn't have a real nasty streak. Evil twin gets his from my in-laws.....

My boy is going to embarrass some middle school kids in soccer this weekend at Midnight Madness.
That said, I'd much rather get beat at soccer than in football, where your opponent has his hands on you.

Charles
I bet my 6'3" eight grader would straight up truck your little midget evil twin.

that's a tall kid!
my 8th grader is a lean 6' 205-210. strong, persistent kid too.
it'd be a fun match up

My boy will go out for football in 7th, we held him back so he's in 6th as a 12yr old, if just to kick. They won't let him simply go out for that, so he may find another position he likes more.

I kind of felt that way on election night. Seeing how rough all of the Hillary supporters were taking it and crying, I felt a connection to their pain and really brought home that we may disagree on certain policies but we are all human and have feelings too.

Knew most of his assignments and made some good blocks. The few plays on defense he hustled and almost had a sack.....was proud that he enjoyed himself that game. Sweet kid.
