This is a load of garbage. The CDC can study whatever it wants. They're simply barred by Congress from advocating for gun control.

You can be put on a government watchlist for literally nothing. People have found themselves on no-fly lists for simply having the same name as someone else. And since this is America, the government can't simply declare you a terrorist and take your rights away extrajudicially.

Sounds great until you dig into the details of any gun control proposal, which almost always are drafted with the express purposes of harassing legal owners in an effort to make gun ownership too legally and financially onerous for the average person. Couple that with the fact that the same people peddling "common sense gun laws" never actually enforce them when it involves common street criminals.

Probably a northern, liberal thing. Here in the south I once informed an officer I had a loaded gun in my glove compartment and she asked if there was a bullet in the chamber. When I said no she asked me why not and advised I do so.

That's nice, but the 2nd amendment does not read:
