Back when I lived in NOLA East, two cars were pulled over at a light around 11 PM. A guy tapped my passenger side window and told my buddy "we need a jump". I noted the two cars to my friend who literally told the guy we have a cable *face palm*. I said I wasn't comfortable stopping, and the dude got pissed. Not the last time I ran a red light in NOLA East.

Not trying to be glib, but given time most safes can be opened. If this kid attacked his parent's safe while they were at work, that's technically 8 plus hours alone he could have to destroy it.

I guess it depends on how you look at it. We are saved by the grace of God. Without failure, there is no need for grace. I think the church does an excellent job of exhibiting our endless need for God’s grace. The “victim mentality” of blaming others for our own actions and inaction- is not going to excuse anyone.

I saw posters surprised by the race of the criminals and this is going to be an unpopular statement but this is a poverty\education\parenting issue. Battle Creek MI has a poverty rate of 28%. Based on the census data I found, NOLA is at 19%. It is the same thing in the south except the poor uneducated broken home criminals are a different demographic down here.

So those kids are part of a culture where even the rich and successful members celebrate immoral behavior and violence, and then the rest of society looks to defend their bad behavior, and admonish those who would criticize it as being bigots?
