That Australian news report is terrible. There's no new or even hard evidence given.
An onboard fire is most likely.

Wrong. That MFer was homicidal, muslim style. I absolutely hate the term suicide bomber. Nope, homicide bomber. A suicide bomber would only blow up themselve.

Sounds legit. Especially after the found he had been practicing the route on a flight simulator at his house. Overnight flight. After everyone was asleep dude switched off radar flew over his hometown then flew south. They have now confirmed he ziz zagged to avoid radar same as he practiced. Craziness. Ok if you want to commit suicide but why mass murder in the process?!

Was the theory had by Don Lemon of CNN that the plane was absorbed by a black hole ever disproven?
Just sayin’.

So does this mean that the passengers/crew died of asphyxiation before the crash?

Data transmissions indicated the plane flew hundreds of miles south. I doubt an onboard fire would have allowed the plane to stay in the air that long, makes no sense. He crashed it intentionally.

Depends on the location and severity of the fire.
The Wired article jcaz linked is a good read.

Well this is a little bit of a relief. It would have been more of a tragedy to have a pilot that didn’t want to die on that plane.

And we are supposed to assume the copilot sat there and willingly allowed all this to happen?
What proof do they have of any of this report?

Hmm considering what would happen being pulled into a black hole, slamming into the ocean would be a blessing.
OTOH, if something like what hapened in Millennium it might be cool if theres no one you'd miss.

Do you have anything to substantiate this besides his having a Muslim sounding name?

He could have disabled the other pilot by any number of means, or like the pilot that deliberately crashed the plane in Europe, waited until the other pilot went to the restroom and locked him out of the cockpit.

MH370 got trapped in the outlet worm hole for the Bermuda Triangle.

I call bullshite.
I believe it was a fire in the cockpit.
Fire either disabled comms and transponder or pilots did as part of emergency checklist. (Circuit breakers reset)
The sudden and deliberate turn directly to a long runway in Malaysia makes me think he was diverting and couldn’t communicate. By the time he turned it was too late. Crew was incapacitated due to fire/smoke.
Plane continues to fly on same heading until fuel is exhausted.
There's one huge problem with this theory. How does a plane that's on fire fly on for 2 to 3 more hours.
Eta - Airplanes with on board fires don't fly for long. Either an emergency landing is made or the plane goes down after the fire grows and destroys the FMS or control linkages.

Only the cockpit experiences a fire but not enough to knock out its ability to fly. Or the fire eventually went out but had already taken out the crew. It’s happened before on the ground. I don’t believe the pilot suicide theory. Edit: Do you even fly by wire brah?

Terrorist generally brag about their attacks. It’s been a few years and nobody has stepped up to say it was their group.

So how did he keep the crew out of the cabin ?
He either incapacitated them somehow or got them to leave the cabin. Same thing the Germanwings co-pilot who crashed his plane did. Post-9/11 cockpit doors are locked and the pilot has to hit a switch to allow people inside. So once you’re out there’s no getting back inside unless the pilot lets you in.
It would have been a massive failure of standard protocol as two people are supposed to be in the cockpit at all times to prevent such things. Just like the Germanwings flight where the co-pilot gave the captain some drugs to make him have to take a shite. But Asian airline pilots aren’t known as being the industry’s gold standard so I wouldn’t doubt that it happened.

I am thinking there may have been another motivation
Thousands of all-Muslim flight crews fly planes without incident every day of the year. Emirates and Qatar Airlines are considered some of the best airlines in the world year after year.
