that's not how this works
it's just like Gravy thought he had a "gotcha" with Buddy voting no and this somehow was "precedent" for the group abstaining together to force he governor to make a selection. they're legitimately nothing alike but it's "precedent"

This was a big night for them with a bunch of no shows from the council. Many folks also wanted people who did not live in the district to take the seat.
I would like to have the seat. I live 700 miles from the district and will promise not to show up. When do we get paid?

Scott Wilson said it best, albeit in a joking manor, after Chauna started speaking the first time. She addressed him in a formal manor and his response was "That's not what you called me back there".
He said it jokingly but I would be willing to bet Chauna calls him racist, etc every day behind the scenes. I would not want to put up to that kind of abuse for 4 years.

The only unity these people seek is an all black council and administration. This is nothing more than seeking racial revenge and the sad part is that they're doing this in the name of God. It amazes me how they can invoke God's name while they're doing something so vindictive.

Because she was hoping to get a Democrat appointed to that seat and, like the others there, actually thought they would be able to make things happen in North Baton Rouge in the next 9-months before a Republican was elected to that seat.
I'm actually kind of baffled that anyone actually holds the Metro Council responsible for the lack of business wanting to move to North Baton Rouge. How exactly is that the fault of the Metro Council? The zoning is all there, its just that no good business want to move into the middle of the murder and robbery capital of the south.
