Women gets kids ready for daycare/school and get them there and pick them up. A lot take them to sports/after school events, grocery shop, cook dinner, make sure there’s toilet paper/shampoo/soap, prepare for holidays, and many work. A lot of men work while women do the majority of extras.

I do all of those things, while working, with 3 kids, while taking care of 20 acres. My wife will still find things to stress about daily.

Maybe that’s the majority, I don’t know. But I can tell you most of the dads I know do way more than the previous generation.

More than half of what you listed I do, not her.

Men do

Women think about doing and assume that’s harder

I once saw a video where a woman asked herself if “mental load” wasn’t a euphemism for “control”. She said something like “I know my husband can pack up the car and fit everything in the back seat, but it won’t be how I would have done it” and then rattled off 3 or 4 other things she knows he’s capable of but would be different than her preferred way.

This is a lot of it, even in well-functioning couples. There is more blending of responsibilities which leads to conflict in the “correct” way to do things.

Sounds like you made a poor life choice getting married to the one you've got
