I didn’t marry a random woman. Never in my life have I experienced a woman referencing a video game to make a point. Are you one of those pretend women?

Growing up in the early 70's being called a dude was not a problem

Whoa whoa whoa let’s back this up. I would never consider marrying a man that couldn’t keep up with me shooting or fishing, so I chose accordingly. I guaran-damn-tee you he isn’t an oddball, he just thinks being referred to as “dude” is disrespectful. I was just wondering if most men agree with him that it’s disrespectful, or if most men disagree. That’s it.

If I call my husband "dude" it is usually followed by "are you for real right now?" and is concerning some large mess he made or something like that. I usually laugh and he never says anything about me saying dude. This doesn't help or explain your situation but it is all I've got.

If you didn’t marry a random woman, why do you reduce her life to revolving around stupid shite and ignoring her?

I’m a bio woman, and I’ve been playing video games since the 80’s. I know more video game terms and memes than anyone my age should know, male or female.

Yes!!!! That is exactly the context! Except mine says “Don’t call me “Dude”!”

Can’t live with ‘em, can’t shoot ‘em.

I don’t like being call “dude” by anyone. Male or female. Same goes for “bruh”. But if my wife called me “dude” followed by “take off your clothes and get in the bedroom, I want to ride you until you can’t think straight” I probably wouldn’t really care about the “dude” part.

In other words, context matters

Write your account name and the date on your penis and post it here so we know you’re a real woman

When you say “dude” you’re 100% talking like a man. No one wants a manly wife.

Girl calling a guy “dude” always sounds dykish. It’s fine if you’re a cute young lesbian just hanging out with the guys, but weird if you’re in a plug/outlet relationship. A dude who hears that hears that you’re just talking to every guy you ever knew, not anyone in particular.
