Some women, particularly wealthy ones, decide they'll try to fight aging and it almost never ends well. For all of the technological progress humanity has made we are still quite shitty at plastic surgery

Even though I don't necessarily agree with it, I can see why she might get some work done on her face in her late 30s. Obviously it didn't go well though.
