Then don’t go. I appreciate getting to meet families. If they choose not to come and I have more time to do actual work then so be it.

That’s how you do scouting for you and your friends’ student-teacher sex scandal fantasy draft.

There's a difference between the OT and the other boards. If you spent any time anywhere else, you'd know I adjust my temperament based on which forum I'm in. OT is one level of a-hole below poli.

Yes, I hate men being pussies, it's our job not to be. I don't know about the others, but I don't need to make anything up, I already have enough material.

Do you really want the first time you meet your son's algebra teacher to be when they're perp walking her across the parking lot for carrying out extracurricular activities with him?

I’m a high school teacher and always enjoy meeting the dozen or so parents that show up to open house.

And as a parent, I’ll attend every single one through my kids’ senior year.

Why would you criticize opportunities to build community? The whole world doesn’t have to be divisive and antagonistic all the time.

Form relationships. Get to know each other. Enjoy your neighborhood. Life’s better that way.

I’ll always be interested in my child’s success. Kids spend all day at school and their care is ultimately my responsibility. I want to help my kid set themselves up for success and want to know who will be teaching them. I’ll be there at meet the teacher night.

Never forget we had this kid that was fairly normal but his mom walked him to class the first day of school all the way up to his senior year

The relationship they supposed to teach and my kids are supposed to study and get their shite done. Parents of good kids don’t need to be involved

But how else would a mom find out that her 15yo son has convinced his teacher that he has Tourettes syndrome by screaming random shite in the middle of class?
