eh, it looks like they modified it to be a 2 seater (or its a USA 2 seater version) and then they just repainted it.

i will give them a "little" credit and say "maybe" they updated the engine designs to something newer and faster then the original 1970 versions, but then for them, that would still a big advance over what they had

When I was in Korea back in the 90’s, the RoK AF was flying these as well as F-4s. Later when I went back in 2002, they had upgraded to F-16s.

Even if they did have modern planes, they couldn’t stand up to our pilots today. In the Gulf War, Iraq had MiG-27s and 29s, but their pilots were useless. Our guys just got on their six and it was over.

Our Pilots are probably about half as good as they were in the gulf war. I think our guys are averaging about 10-15 hours a month. The Chinese are flying almost double that. Yeah maybe we can handle the Iranians but against a real enemy we’re probably gonna lose.

Quality over quantity. You know how many hours these guys are in the sims? Not to mention training and practicing with the best of the best.

The shoot down ratio would be 50:1 if that at all.
