lets just say there are 20 unjustified cop shootings of blacks every year...you really think that is an issue compared to over 7k being killed by black people? Even when it is a bad shoot they are usually shooting criminals right? Just trying to understand what makes these 20 lives more important than 7k

Listed below are studies that find racial disparity in the justice system.
And when you say "less likely" do you mean less likely to get charged/convicted than black cops who shoot black victims? or black cops that shoot white victims? or white cops that shoot white victims?

The author is comparing white police convictions to all non-police convictions for murder and using that as his argument.
That's apples to oranges. He should be comparing white police convictions to black police convictions if he really wanted to write a truthful article.

We have crime rates in US cities on par with shitholes in Brazil and Africa.
The question shouldn't be why are blacks more incarcerated that whites, it should be "what is causing crime rate in our inner cites to be so high?"
