Exactly, and so silenced the majority of Americans who are white from participating in the discussion and actually do something about it. Well said and excellent point.

Best post of the thread - The drug war, police corruption, police militarization and turning criminal justice into a profit center (phone calls, private jails) are legitimate issues that affect all races. So, CK and his ilk made it a racial issue, turning the vast majority of the population against their cause.
BLM did the same thing, not only by making it a "one race" issue, but by siding with people who actually deserved to be shot.

That's why I think he is misguided. Police kill people of every race. I think it is an issue that everybody should be concerned with. As another poster stated, he protested in a way that alienated a lot of potential supporters.

I disagree. The "cause" was always a very big deal to me. My post history would bear that out. But he made it a minority only cause, when it shouldn't have been, and alienated alot of people that might have supported him.

The one I'm speaking of is a bigger issue and doesn't seem to get nearly as much headlines or protests.

He's a fricking moron. He wants to protest black people getting killed by police, so what does he do? Wears socks that showcase police as pigs.
He wants to protest how unjust our country does, so what does he do? Wears a shirt praising Fidel Castro.
He is an attention whore who is using his position as an ex-NFL player to make headlines. And the situation derailed so much that now he may win a suit against the NFL for collusion against him being signed (wouldn't surprise me if the NFL settles and he makes a lot of money out of it). Not to mention the dude was offered a contract by the Broncos before this whole situation escalated the the point its at today.
He is a textbook scumbag and that's all that needs to be said about the guy.
