Medieval chroniclers not writing for posterity

Why the hell are they writing.
Listening to a book. The author was talking about William. He quoted a medieval chronicler.
“William did many great and wonderful things during those 3 years of travel that have amazed the whole world still to this day [50 years later]. But I will not talk more about as his actions were too impactful for us to yet fully understand.”
The author goes on to explain we have no clue what William did now that so impressed the chronicler.
Damn feel like this chronicler is an a-hole and I feel slightly cheated out of a probably entertaining story.
P.S. I also learned today that people (men at least)in medieval times believed it was impossible for a women to get pregnant if she didn’t orgasam

The author is legit good author/historian. The chronicler he is quoting though isn’t.
I just think it’s really funny this guy might have solved the human condition for all we know and the chronicler who was writing about him didn’t see fit to tell people

The chances for conception are higher if a woman orgasms, if I recall correctly. Read it it a book some years ago.

The chronicle is
It is possible this is the first biography written about a non-ruler in history.

Because it was only through the written word we could preserve our histories, our stories, in the absence of an oral tradition.
Man wrote to spread the tales and glories of old. To connect past and present.

It did. I’m stilll fricking furious with that fricking game of complete fricking pathetic shite. that Was a program ruining loss. And smart shite himself horribly these past 3 weeks and he doesn’t have any clue what it takes to win.
But, I do think the subject is interesting, entertaining, amusing, or some weird combination of things. Hence why I posted it.

Yes. And women orgasm quicker/more often with strangers than lifelong partners.
Wonder the evolutionary reason for this...
Female orgasms is a much better topic for this thread.

It appears that you can start a thread with any random gibberish on the OT.
