Idk our healthcare system scares me. I have a feeling it will be single payer in the future. If that happens doctors get fricked especially physicians and specialists. Remember if Joe Lieberman voted yes in 2008 we would have it now

I agree, it is very risky. Especially considering who the frick knows where this will all be 10+years from now...

The money might take a hit from prwvious highs but it will always be more than comfortable. And MDs will remain the most esteemed members of the community. Especially in more rural communities. Remember the old CBS series Northern Exposure? The Dr. whined constantly about being tricked into the wilderness but that looked like a great life to me.

It’s not all about money in life. Think about the other perks like six months off a year, inspiring young kids, fricking your students...

You can't argue that money controls the world and has since the time a human first traded an animal pelt for some food.

Having more money allows you to do things you normally would not be able to do without it.

also most relationship issues are money related...

A scholar once said " 'Cause we all just wanna be big rockstars
And live in hilltop houses, drivin' fifteen cars
The girls come easy and the drugs come cheap
We'll all stay skinny 'cause we just won't eat"

Your wealth = power = happiness equation is all fricked up.

Happiness isn't a state of being, it comes in small doses. The things you like to do and the things that make you happy are going to change over the course of your life.

Trying to decide which road to go down based on buying future happiness with future wealth is setting yourself up to be disappointed.

agree to an extent but...

one of my main life goals is to be able to afford an offshore fishing boat.

Going fishing is a great way to get away from this shitty world and enjoy nature, my view on this will never change. One of the things that always makes me happy no matter how shitty the weather is, no matter how much sleep I get I can always jump right out bed to go fishing. Just being on the water is better than nothing. No cell phones, no media, no drama, no politics, no bullshite. Just life. When you love something you will understand...

and money doesn't buy happiness? then how else am I supposed to frick strippers and do blow?

Median salary of 90k, I'd rather go to law school and roll the dice of getting hired by a large law firm.

You can buy a decent 30ft rig, a few years old, for under $60k. Why do you have to go to law school or med school to afford that?

not even close man, maybe 15 year old piece. A safe offshore rig will start you at 150k minimum.
I've done some dumbass shite(taking my bay boat 40-60 miles offshore tons of time)I don't want to have to feel like I'm seriously risking my life everytime I go fishing. Especially when I'm older I know my body wont be able to take the beating I took in that small boat the past few years etiher

Also consider the more you spend on a boat the more you are spending on going fishing. What I mean is the weather is not always perfect, when you work you have small windows as to when you can go fishing. The larger the boat the less times you'll be "picking your days" and the more you'll be fishing. Also the gas, tackle, and storage doesn't pay for itself

32 footer, with a pilothouse & inboard cummins diesel, 2007, $74k asking price from a dealer.

Don't spend 6-10 years and $200k on an education to do something you don't really want to do in order to buy a boat to escape how shitty things are for you.

Teach people to grow weed and how to wash the money. An online school, based offshore would be a good starting point.

Also, on the boat. what would the cost of a charter once or twice a month? The cost would be shared by all participants. How does this cost compare to owning, upkeep, storage, etc.?

Oh. What a brilliant idea. There is nobody teaching people how to grow weed.

Let me help you out. Weed is legal for those over 21 in 9 states. MM legal in 30.

The future for illegal grow operations is bleak.
