Med School or Law school

Law school seems less worth it everytime I look at opportunity costs, and chances of landing a high paying job. Med school seems like a horrible decision due to the increasing socialism of medicine. 12 years of school does not sound like a good life decision.
7 vs 12 years of school is also something to be considered
Want to change my major, someone rape me with some knowledge

Money is important but not the only thing to consider for a career choice

Med school, trust me its worth it
Now specializing will obvious dictate how much longer schooling is
Its a lot of work but it pays off eventually
But don't force yourself to go to law school or med school if thats not what you really want to do. Money matters but at least make sure its something decent that you are somewhat interested in

Not law school. And you don’t sound like you’ll make it through med school. Maybe someone here can get you a job at the plant.

Damn that's brutal....I'd actually think on it kid. Be open to other options that may open up. Like I said, I think Med school would open more doors. Have you thought about the Military? Just a suggestion.

Military is a big no go for me, with my health I don't think I'll live much past my 50s if i'm lucky. Trying to make as much money as possible in the shortest amount of time (aren''t we all)
Everyone tells me I would be a good lawyer, but both of my parents are doctors and my ideal job would be to conduct medical research and then practice medicine(not sure what kind). GPA, opportunity costs, and estimating how politics will run it's course on the medical industry 10-12 years from now plays a big factor
Also the idea of being married and having kids at like 35 before being able to finally make money after all my hard work seems pretty shitty.(4 years under grad,4 years post grad,4 years residency, and you don't get to start practicing medicine right away:So about 35) All that time spent just to have to start saving for my future kids. For what, so they can go to college and do the same thing and provide for their kids and never actually get to live or spend that money that we worked so hard to get? Whats it all for ?So they can just repeat the same fricking process and die with no purpose and the next generation to do it over and over again? Pretty fricking shitty to think about.

Would love to but there's no money. My passion is fishing and teaching would not be able to fund that for me.

If so, you fail at life and end up miserable.

Well that's my goal in life, and if I can't achieve it then I shall be miserable.
Unfortunately money always has and will be power.
Power will get you to what makes you happy

Idk our healthcare system scares me. I have a feeling it will be single payer in the future. If that happens doctors get fricked especially physicians and specialists. Remember if Joe Lieberman voted yes in 2008 we would have it now
