Probably a few thousand to make sure the pitot system is clear. And the cops know who the painters are. They left their signatures. Someone on here with a big brain could image search and find rail cars and overpasses I bet.

Pitot static system is mounted in the nose area it appears to be unaffected. Those windows could be changed right there they don't need to fly the aircraft anywhere as long as they can do it under a shelter in case it decides to rain.
I priced the replacement windows and we're looking at about 15 grand plus tax in just parts to replace six windows, three each side: pilot door, passenger door, and litter door. Labor conservatively 8 hours per window @$135.00 per hour 6k. And if there's any paint touch-up work involved that's just going to drive the price up. Bunch of savages.

Wouldn't it have a static air inlet behind the back door?

If you go to Mexico or see trains coming out of Mexico, you will see a ton of graffiti. Blacks are the least likely to do that style of graffiti.

So random people are just wandering around airports?
Woever is in charge of physical security is asleep at the wheel here. You'd think airport security to be kind of important, they may as well have flown off with it.

Some people have been enamored by Cali for decades and its literally running on Mississippi and Louisiana type brainpower.

It has such resources and natural beauty, it's hard not to love. And, if you have money, you can separate from the trash.
Still, as idiots vote en masse, so you get what you get.

How did they get access to the helicopter and stay there long enough to do that without being noticed?
No kidding. Some worthless 'security officer's is about to get a literal wake-up call.

I fly into Hesperia occasionally just because its an easy quick area to go practice some emergencies with almost zero traffic around. The airport is desolate, the runway is poor, and the area is pretty quiet. Fence around the airport, and where the helipad is a road is right next to it. Easy fpr the A holes to jump and do this. Thats gonna be a costly repair job. Thats a busy med ship too. Lots of off road accidents in the area, trauma center is an 8 minute or so flight from that area. On the road it could be hours on the ground depending on traffic on the weekends.

Nothing was set fire to, damaged, destroyed, disabled or wrecked

there will be a minimal investigation, no prosecutions, and they’ve likely already ordered a new one on the taxpayer dime.

Actually, the monied people are the problem in California.
Cali has a progressive utopian disease. If your leaders allow dysfunction, you'll get dysfunction.

If that's enamel spray paint, they're in for a much bigger surprise.

why is that
The aircraft skin is thin aluminum and enamel spray paint, almost certainly used, will be harder to remove without damaging in the process. The local auto body and paint guy can’t do this.
My guess is they’ll remove the aircraft skin at a certified repair shop and repaint the entire aircraft. At least if it were mine, that’s what I’d insist be done.
Posted on 10/28/24 at 8:24 am to Mr Breeze
They won't have to remove the skins there are chemicals that will take paint off without hurting the underlying aircraft paint which is very tough. Biggest problem is part of that aircraft has composite side body fairings and they will probably have to be sanded and repainted.

How can you say with a straight face the aircraft wasn’t damaged?

Find who did it and chop them up with the prop blades

That is awesome!
Edit: Graffiti happens everywhere. Some of the best and most destructive graffiti I have ever seen was done in the Southern United States. This is not a problem because its in California...It's a problem because graffiti writers are determined, fearless, and risk takers. They cannot be stopped.
