In no way am I defending McKnight, but I feel that Gasser perhaps could have found a way to diffuse the situation other than shooting.
Who gives a shite about what you feel if his actions were within the law?

But the facts we have point to Gasser being dumb,
I think the evidence thus far points to JM being the dumbass.
Followed a car because he was in a rage.
Parked his car illegally on a busy highway and exited that vehicle and approached another vehicle sitting in traffic that he had been following for 5 miles
Allegedly tried to enter that vehicle
Got shot and killed

One last thing about the route that was taken.
The first exit off the bridge is Algiers, Gen De Gaulle is the busiest thoroughfare. Half dozen banks, every fast food joint, Orleans Parish School Board, 3 groceries stores. Lots of traffic lights. Behrman Hwy. has a Super Wal-Mart a few more traffic lights.
From their first interaction to their last interaction 99.9% occurred in New Orleans.
They had just entered Jefferson Parish. There are two traffic lights separated by less than a football field, one is Orleans Parish, one in Jefferson Parish. Mitch Landrieu and the Orleans Parish DA are thanking God that first traffic light was green.

Well golly gee, that doesn't sound like the story right after it happened.
I thought I heard an innocent was gunned down by someone so insane he hung around.

Landrieu would have pushed the DAs office to charge Gasser with 1st Degree Murder if it was in Orleans and Gasser would be stuck with a $10 million dollar bail and locked up in OPP.

100% agree. IMO no matter what, they both fricked up at some point from the second their paths crossed until when that first shot was fired.

No evidence of who followed whom.

Again, no evidence of who followed whom. McKnight does appear to be the only one who exited his vehicle though.

Who alleges this? There has been nothing presented that days this.
Look, the facts are bad enough. No need to embellish them.

well Gasser was parked in the right lane, legally. It doesnt take a rocket scientist to put 2 and 2 together to see that JM pulled up next to Gasser, illegally, after Gasser got to the light.....hence JM was behind him

Norman stated in his presser that JM was shot while standing at the passenger window....what do you think a jury would tend to believe?

However, I do fully believe that a concealed carry permit holder who is well versed on his rights is going to be less likely to avoid a situation where deadly force would be warranted. I don't mean to suggest Gasser was itching to kill someone by any means, but I do believe that if he knew his rights, he's less likely than the average Joe to make an attempt to de-escalate the situation. If he knows he can shoot him the moment he reaches into his car, he may not be as motivated to avoid that result as someone who is unaware or unarmed.
Jesus Christ.

Maybe Gasser lived off of Carol Sue and Berhman Hwy
He lived on the 500 block of Wall according to the news. If I were him I wouldn't go there for a while.

please state those facts

Based on what we know, he did not diffuse the situation until he shot McKnight.
If you believe the only option of a mature, grown man in this entire scenario (that escalated over a long period of time, presumably) was to shoot an unarmed man in broad day light at an intersection in fricking Gretna, then I have no words for you.

You have no fricking idea what he did or didn't do. In essence, you have your mind already made up and you're just vomiting an opinion that honestly may never be approved right or wrong.
How do you defuse a guy illegally parking and running up to your vehicle?

I don't understand why people don't think Gasser is a moron for allowing the situation to escalate. It's broad daylight. McKinght is in an Audi Q7. You're in a sports car. You're in Gretna. You have so many options.

What are those facts? Please list them so I can understand where you're coming from.
yeah, dont let the facts get in the way..BTW, they were in Terrytown
because you're an idiot

How do you know that this guy wasn't trying his hardest to get away from McKnight?
