They would sell more ice cream if the machines weren’t broken.

That’s about 1.5 million cows a year. US has 86 million head of cattle alone.

It’s plausible. Also have to consider beef imported

Small dent in the 150k cows killed for meat daily here in the U.S. alone, and a majority of those burgers are sold abroad from cattle killed there.

Back when things were good and a dollar was still worth something this

country used to consume 240,000 head a day.

McDonald’s uses way too much salt in their beef. Their burgers taste like you’re eating a salt lick.

Is not the quarter pounder the only real meat they sell in a hamburger?

It’s the only burger that’s fresh and cooked to order

First job was being a manager in a major area at 18 after about 3 months. Its rare you'll eat actual fresh McDonald's. When you do, it slaps. Its full of preservatives but its good food regardless, its just that you'll never eat anything fresh out of the fryer or grill. Like.. ever. 5 minutes in the bulb lamp or meat heater makes a big difference.

For perspective, the U.S. processes tens of thousands of cattle every day and produces tens of millions of pounds of beef. McDonald’s represents only a fraction of the total U.S. beef market.

Well, depends on how you define the cow.

Going back to the 1970's or 1980's McDonald's advertised "American" meat, implying USA meat, but were in fact getting most of their beef from Central America and South America.

They also imply they use just muscle meat from said cows, but neglect all the non muscle meat from a cow that "extends" that meat to much higher volume and weight.

Jump right up if you are old enough to remember the Quarter Back deal at McDonald's and the old guy with the mustache before Ronald and pals showed up. That is probably around the last time you should have eaten a McDonald's hamburger.

Not sure about today, but historically, seems Kentucky was in the Top 5 for cattle production in the USA and the biggest East of the Mississippi. Not sure how close that is now, but pretty sure none of that beef ever made its way into a McDonald's hamburger in this century.
