Do you think this is the right course of action?

Of course it was the right thing to do. When word got out that an employee had it folks would have avoided the place. Also, if one had it you can bet others did as well.

Yes. Now, any other employees that this one has come in contact with have been potentially exposed which could potentially expose family members. It's like a pebble dropped in a pond. A ripple effect. I work for a medical supply company and our drivers are constantly in and out. Who knows who they've been in contact with. I worry about that because of my 88 year old mother. I know that I will survive but I know that she won't.

Doubtful. The kind of people that eat at McDonald's or most any other "fat" food joint aren't going to let a little virus deter them from their obesity.

No they will hire a lawyer and eventually sue for mental anguish, suspected contamination

Now, think of the money that’s been exchanged, the food that’s handled, breathed on, etc, and people exposed, and the close proximity people encounter each other at drive up windows and you clearly see why a fast food joint might be the very last place I’d go right now, yet the lines are as long as ever. That’s why I wish to stay away from all humans right now. They’re dangerous, but the ones that are real dangerous are those carelessly going through this like it’s a big joke. It’s not.

Dammit. I have to be in Denham today and I was hoping to grab a milkshake.

Well it wont be so bad since the shake machine was probably broken anyways

I guess since the other employees were in close contact with him probably. Obviously, need to disinfect the store and get some employees and reopen.

I've been doing take out and drive thrus with no issue. If the workers take basic precautions, like gloves, then it'll be ok. No different than going to the grocery store.
Theres also only 57 cases in my 21,000+ population zip code.

Ever work in the service industry before? I’m just not sure I’d put my life in the hands of a McDonald’s fast food worker’s hands and their precautions, but maybe that’s just me. Gloves can pass that stuff to you just as easily as open hands can.

Someone coughs on a box of spaghetti and it doesn’t go straight into me unlike a fast food worker coughing onto my burger and adding their own special sauce.

Wearing gloves is probably worse than not wearing them and just washing hands frequently

Exactly. Suppose the infected person coughed on the gloves, then it gets passed on through each transaction. People trusting fast food establishments to be clean is hilarious.

Not a thing

This!
Unless they’re changing gloves between each order-which I’m sure they aren’t -then it’s ineffective.

I had 2 mcdoubles last week and I threw up after I ate them. Not covid, just nasty
Posted on 4/7/20 at 8:04 am to lsu xman
Yes!!! While not having our fast food fix, I don't think they are essential. AT all. I quit going to any restaurant once this got really bad in our area.

Yes! I finally got my 19 year old to understand this! My husband, on the other hand, is a lost cause. He's too hyper to sit still and stay home for any length of time.

I know. This is why I LOL at people wearing gloves all over town as they touch everything in sight.
I even saw some clown at the grocery store yesterday wearing gloves while walking through the store talking on their cell phone (touching their face of course).
Do these people think the gloves magically kills the virus??
