Agree as long as the relationship doesn’t lead to special treatment of the employee, and they aren’t a direct report.

I went to a McDonalds a few minutes ago to get my dog a cheeseburger, and their grill was broke. The kid told me they didn't know when they would have it fixed. I said, "is anyone working on it now", and he said "no".
