So wait her husband divorced her because she was raped or because she had consensual sex? Because it would see to me it would only be because it was concensual, which would be cheating. And I don’t care about friends sworn statements - a sworn statement of someone heresy is only as believable as the original person - and since everything is already based upon her story it’s impossible to take the friends statements as anything.

ETA - never like lauer and you can tell he’s a creep. But the witch hunt mentality and sensationalist journalism doesn’t mean every detail or allegation is automatically true.

If the network paid for the rape button installation, I consider them complicit.

I agree the guy is ugly, but I'm sure she's done more humiliating things than have consensual sex with an ugly guy.

A lot of people here are confusing sexual assault and sexual harassment

As has happened, coming out with this accusation just exposes herself to people questioning her motives and victim blaming. Plus, even if she had left the network, she could still be in the business, and it could hurt her future career prospects.

People don't realize how difficult it can be to defend someone from an accusation made years after the incident. There's a reason why we have statutes of limitations.

I really question the motives of someone who brings up an accusation of an incident that allegedly occurred years before.

It still adds credibility to her story. Let's say that event took place 5 years ago, and she told her friends 5 years ago what happened.

What's more likely? She's playing the long game, or the story was true?

Sounds concensual to me. These women are full of carp and trying to cash in. It’s sickening.

No one has claimed he raped them, as far as I know. This is all about sexual harrassment and inappropriate work-place behavior.

He won't be legally charged with anything and no one is claiming he should be, so far.

I would imagine that he finally quit paying the blackmail money so this is the result.
