There must be tens of thousands of them downtown right now. Anyone else seeing this?

Didn’t BR always have this problem?

I noticed them a few weeks ago.
Don't recall ever seeing them in BR before now?

Last week when they swarmed here, walking at the top of the levee felt like walking in the rain.

They swarm around this time every year, always around Mother’s Day

I lived in the greater Baton Rouge area my whole life and I've never seen anything like this.

We got em swarming in uptown New Orleans, too. They started way before dark. I think they might be the local variety instead of the usual formosans we usually see swarming.

Someone posted a gif of a swarm showing up on the weather radar in one of these threads last week. I wish I would have saved it, it was cool

We had a bad swarm in South Baton Rouge last year. They kept coming down the bathroom vent. But, that's the only time I remember something like that happening.

Nope. Born and raised in BR and never saw the termite swarm until I moved to Nola.

Don't really remember them growing up in BR area either. Maybe there were years and I just didn't know what they were.
