Camp Minden has so much shite they don't know what to do with.
After the 1st explosion, they contacted me to help remove some tank and the ground around it, the tank was full of water and an explosive powder, the water neutralized the explosive, but there was not cover on the tank and the tank was open. So over the years the explosive powder had accumulated all around the bottom of the tank.
They wanted us to excavate the dirt around the tank.
So they sent the leading EPA explosive guy, the same guy was the lead scientist for the Erin Brokovich stuff, and he goes on to explain how if any of the powder had formed together, just the size of an eraser, it could kill everyone within a 100 ft area and that all it took was force, you know...like an excavator hitting it.
We told them to frick off

Louisiana State Police Troop G said it has received reports of an explosion. "The phone won't quit ringing long enough for me to send someone that way," a spokesman said.
But they had time for an interview?

After the explosions, the employees of that contractor couldn't work, but they had to show up. So they would all come in everyday, and they had a big screen TV set up and they just watched movies everyday all day.
God bless the government.

Ammunition Plant blows up at least once a year.

Now they are saying it was probably the incinerator used to burn the M6 that exploded, not one of the storage bunkers.

After the explosions, the 18 million pounds of material was gathered and put into 97 separate bunkers to reduce the risk of an ignition setting off a huge fire.
Now, said Johnny Heflin, a rancher in the nearby town of Doyline, there are “97 big bombs all waiting to go off.”
Given years of natural degradation, accelerated by long stretches out in the elements, the propellant has for some time been at “imminent and substantial risk” of self-igniting, according to the E.P.A.
