I've only seen them outside of concerts, not inside (other than big festivals). The girl interviewed said the woman was up in the front row saying shite

Who could know at this point, but that's a hell of a lot of planning, preparing and execution for anything even close to some hard luck case from divorce or gambling or even some "typical" crazy theater or crowd shooter.

This took a very high level of motivation and dedication to carry out in this manner.

Good source at huge strip casino just told me "I know the shooter. Played big/often! Dozens of interactions w/this average guy. So shocked"

Saw this from CNN's interview with the shooter's brother:

I feel for some, when they're down that road, there's no turning back. It's partially a mental disease exacerbated by an event (divorcing). Add that he could have lost a lot of money and was just in frick it mode. Put some large ammunition and hotel on the credit card with no intention of paying it and there you go.

Although, there's something to say about the hotel room he got. He would have had to book that one months out since there was a prime, sold out event going on across the street. So there is that big question mark.
