Yeah he was definitely using a very high capacity magazine. I’d guess a 50 round drum. You can hear the pause in the shooting for about 5-6 seconds. Plenty of time to fumble a heavy mag into place and chamber.

If his drums are like mine, gonna need to do a lot more smacking on the mag to unbind a spring feed issue than any 30 rd mag I've ever used...

It does sound more like bump firing than full-auto. Like there are some inconsistencies in the rate of fire. It also sounds like something smaller than 5.56 or 7.62... almost like the crack of a .22lr (which I doubt it is due to the distance and amount of casualties). I need to find some more videos.

It could be but I’ve been around a frick ton of gun enthusiasts in my life and I’ve only seen one belt fed weapon.

You think it was a crime of passion vs a crowd of 30,000+? No. It was blatantly for fear and hatred alone. Nothing more. Now, it could be racially motivated terrorism, or politically motivated terrorism, or maybe something else. It's all speculation at this point. But don't get it mixed up - something like this is done to incite terror - and if you watch the videos during the shooting, he did just that.
