Bump fired AK

LINK

Doesn't sound like an AK, but the gun doesn't sound like a full auto either. Too inconsistent

We don't possibly know if this was politically motivated at this point.

In most cases it doesn't matter if it's a 5-round, 10-round, 30-round, or 100-round magazine... an active shooter isn't going to be stopped until he is met with return fire.

I could walk through a crowd (or sit on the 32nd floor of a hotel) and kill just as many people with 20 5-round mags as I could with 1 100-round drum. It takes 1 second to drop the empty mag and pop another one in.

Capacity is irrelevant IMO. I'd actually rather have 30-round mags... a 100-round drum fully loaded is heavy as frick.

Speculation on Reddit is a bump trigger AK

I listened to the different vids and I am leaning toward a bumpfire stock or like what MikeBoss pointed out, a shaved/filed bolt

We aren't going to do the classic OT and turn this into a race thread are we?

White shooter, surely majority white victims and country music concert so just let it go.

Totally agree. It doesn’t take much practice to perfect a quick mag change.

I get all that. Just didn't sound like he was swapping mags to me.

I saw that. At the end of his little vid he said he got his gun and is heading back

Especially if it is in a more substantial round such as 7.62. frick that. I'd stick with a 30 as well.

I am familiar with bump firing I can do it without the shitty stock. The sound in the videos just didn't have that beefy sound that you hear from an AK.

Some people are just crazy. You can't do anything about it, and it is what it is

I'd imagine the guys who had been in combat there immediately knew what it was. Scary shite

Me too. It sounds like bump firing but not an AK. Not sure.

I thought it was a 5.56 M16 at first from the original video. There was a video taken much closer that sounded much beefier.

Well he was in a stationary position so he was possibly using something like a 100-round drum. You could rest the barrel on bag or bi-pod and just go to town.

I was only pointing out that magazine capacity really doesn't matter one way or the other.
