All of the music festival theories can be solved by answering one question:
Did he drive to these events?
Airline records are kept and I am sure will be looked over. If the guy flew to Chicago for the festival, it is safe to assume he never had intent to shoot the place up. Maybe he was scoping out, or maybe he just likes Radiohead?
No one knows. If he turns out he drove to Chicago- then speculation can begin.

You do realize that the week before was also a Country music event? He also booked a room that weekend.
It could have been him making a mock run. Maybe he didn't feel he had the best vantage point.
There are many theories of his motives and reasoning. I am confident that we will all find out his motives but not necessarily find out his reasoning for what he did and didn't do. Unless there is some sort of journal that is found documenting his every thought, we may only be able to speculate on his reasoning.

For sure.
To clarify, I'm saying we should be reading between the lines. It's not what they are telling you, but rather what they are deciding to tell you. When all of this info breaks that tries to counter the easiest assumption about the target, or ramps up the gun control debate, ask yourself why? Why are these details being released but nothing about his motivations?

The shooter's brother wants $1Million for an interview so he can donate it to the victims. I think he wants the $$ because his gravy train has wrecked.

Drawing conclusions at this point based on what info has been released or not released is really skeptical.

Fred, I saw a clip last night on Fox News, with the good looking blonde chick. She was interviewing 2 experts. Can't remember any names. One of them alleges he is very close to the investigation, and is speaking privately with those that are investigating the room that the shooter stayed. He said that there is evidence already obtained that indicates a very clear motive, and it's well known in the inside circles, and it will come out shortly. When pressed, he wouldn't say anything more, but he hinted that it was political.
Take that FWIW, and I know, it's Fox News and all, but he seemed certain an lot was going to be clarified, and soon.

No way he was actually planning to do this in Chicago, I mean why Chicago? Tons of concerts would have been easier to drive to. I'm guessing he was just going to Chicago for some reason and decided to scout out the concert as a trial run while he was there.
