I read he recently got a hearing aide and was hearing voices. Is there any chance that hearing aides can be hacked?

I don’t know what technology hearing aides have, but my damn toothbrush has Bluetooth technology. I imagine a hearing aide can connect to the internet, AI, and also be susceptible to hackers (Russians, Iranians, Chinese, rogue groups, etc).

I mean most are connected to phones these days, so it’s definitely not far fetched.

There would have to be an unintentional vulnerability or a know back door in the operating system of the phone.

People ITT will point to the failure of “yellow flag” laws while simultaneously arguing against measures that would encourage and strengthen said laws.

Yellow flag laws, which existed in Maine, would absolutely have prevented this had they been enforced. Stigma against enforcing is why 18 are dead. No one will want to own this fact but it is reality. Existing laws on the books could have prevented this but no one enforced it because of a combination of bystander-syndrome and “muh rights”.

If you're chastising people's rights, then you're wrong.

I was saying I’m glad it’s over, but would have been nice to get him alive and extract some psych information about what goes on in someone’s head and maybe future warning signals. I’m definitely glad the bastards dead.

The first thing I'd ask is "How long did the submarine remain on station?"

I've yet to understand how many of these "known to authorities" keep killing.

Seems every case is someone who has exhibited strong signs of mental illness and has made threats before.

How about a psych ward stay and threatening to shoot up a military base?

Broken homes
Schools drugging kids
Early life exposure to violence
Child sexual abuse.

These seem to be the common themes among loner mass shooters.

Parents and doctors are drugging kids. It’s a fricking epidemic.

Also, what time do they think he offed himself or do they still have to wait and do an autopsy to determine that?
Did I miss that in this thread?

This afternoon police said they HAD CLEARED the are twice and then found him in that same time , the third time they checked it.

It wasn't that far from where his car was found, and it was at the business which had fired him recently.

His final movements may have taken him along a secluded, disused railroad track which leads directly to his abandoned vehicle and to the recycling plant where his body was found.

So he ditched the car and walked away, hid in a tractor trailer at his old job, and once the adrenaline went away he killed himself? I’m not for suicide but frick sometimes you just wish these people would do that first.
