A gunman fired about 30 rounds from a high-velocity .223-caliber rifle at a group of people on the sidewalk.
Victims:
One man was killed, and six other people—five men and one woman—were injured. All six survivors sustained significant injuries but are expected to recover.
Location:
The shooting took place at the intersection of Clinton Avenue and East 29th Street, across from the high school. School was in session at the time.
Investigation:
As of August 27, 2025, no arrests have been made, but police are following strong leads.

Do you know the difference between attendees and victims? There were a lot more people there, 20 were shot.
