Some nasty storms came through here awhile ago. No idea why the boat was out on the lake, everyone knew there was supposed to be severe storms tonight. Sad stuff.

this

A thunderstorm rolled through Branson between 7 and 7:30 p.m. with wind gusts as high as 63 mph.

"Sustained winds over 40 mph, lightning, moderate rain and lowered visibility to as low as 2 miles may have contributed to this incident," said weather.com meteorologist Jonathan Belles.

Ehhh nah. I'm sure more people drove high and caused accidents.

Went to Branson with my grandparents as a kid in the late 80s/early 90s and remember riding on the Duck. I thought it was the coolest thing ever.

Video of it right before it sinks from the Branson Belle

Skip to about 3 minutes if you want to see the final moments.

Yeah the jokes are pretty sick, and usually they don't bother me. The likelihood of most of the dead being kids based on the location is pretty high.

That was hard to watch.

But there was a certain point where the captain should have just put that boat on land

Yeah, that's kind of sad. The news is saying that some people from the Belle jumped in and started pulling people out, though.

After watching that video I can’t believe they weren’t even out there in that weather. No way they should have been fighting that. That duck looked like it was struggling the whole time compared to the other one also.
