I honestly don’t think there is a shot in hell there will ever be mask compliance again in the south
The mask mandate was lifted in Alabama in early April, but most kept wearing them well after.

Delta variant is nothing to sneeze at. Recently killed my dads friend who was in his 50s and not overweight with no underlying health issues.
Annnnnd, not vaccinated. Forgot the most important part.

I’m not masking anymore, period. Neither is our son.

There’s actually a lambda variant. I was told it’s the strain currently roiling through India
At this point people have had the opportunity to get the vax. It’s on them if they get dangerously sick. I do not want to be held hostage into wearing masks, no sports, etc….bc of their healthcare choices
Not sure why this is getting downvoted. its true. Those who decide not to get vaccinated have made the choice and decided it wasn't a worry.
Once everyone has the chance to get vaccinated, everything should be open with no restrictions, forever. If people get sick, it is on them.

You are not alone, that’s why I’m optimistic it won’t happen, at least in this part of the world.

Were there any non political biased charts that accurately showed that masks were effective?
The bias of any studies/charts all depends on whether or not you agree with the findings.

While I don't necessarily disagree, there is an argument for some level of caution and restriction when dealing with an unknown virus spreading rapidly and no vaccine or immunity.
Once there is a vaccine that everyone has had a chance to get, it is beyond absurd. At that point it is about nannystate government power and nothing to do with health or logic.

None of this was done for the H1N1
