I imagine they’ll get more draconian this time.

they don't have the resolve, the manpower, or the jails to actually enforce anything on people at scale

the governments will absolutely screw over businesses seeking to act legitimately. Speakeasy type places already started popping up and will only gain more and more traction as people stop listening to the government.

Personally no matter what they say, I think the last thing Blue state types want is another lockdown.

They will lose MidTerms if they do it again.

I hope the hospitals won’t be overrun!

You don’t get it, the variant is SOARING

Nevermind the reporting backlog from a long holiday weekend.

Which is it? 247 or 427?

MS was averaging 247 cases per day a week or two ago. With 400+ cases being reported most every day this week that daily average will be in the 400s for this week.

a "dangerous" fall season

So they are just letting the "flu" return this fall? You do realize they are just renaming the common cold as different variants of Covid now. Hay fever is now Delta. Respiratory infection is Epsilon. And on, and on and on.

Sadly there are people that will believe this. I will often check in on the LA Dept of Health updates and there was someone commenting that vaccinated people cannot spread the virus, and the death rate for the unvaccinated is 99% while only 0.8% for the vaccinated.
