Places could stay open by not acting like zombie psychos about fricking masks. You require a mask and a customer forgets his? Give him one. Or let him pull his shirt over his face. Or toilet paper over his face. Or some accommodation that covers the mouth. But no, they’re hung up on sacred masks.

I don't personally believe the masks are doing much of anything but they definitely messed up. They should have totally let you wrap your own head in toilet paper. Then they should have told you, "You look like an idiot! Get Out!!"

Ahhh, Oweo with his usual calls for unity around here I see. You’re a cripple pussy Chris.

I went to get a haircut on Friday and when I sat down the girl told me I could take off my mask if I wanted to. I said that’s all I needed to hear and ripped it off. No one working there was wearing one.
When I was leaving I saw someone getting their hair cut with their LGBTQRZTGHIJK+ rainbow mask still on and laughed. I bet they knew not to even tell that true believer they could take it off if they wanted to. They probably went home and reported the barber shop for not making people wear one.

Had the same experience. Although I am Legend Ball status. Walked into the appliance store on 190 by Home Depot in Covington, not a soul in the place except 3 employees lounging by their desks. Nowhere in Mandeville or Covington pushes masks. I never have one on.
Guy yells from where he is 40’ away and asks if I have a mask. I reply that I do not and just wanted to ask if they could get what I was looking for. He yelled that I had to leave the store and I gladly obliged. Spent my coin online and had my overpriced appliances delivered and set up.
What tools.......I guess the gubbermint is gonna bail em out.
What a ridiculous hoax and some businesses are gladly killing them selves.

Local businesses that do not make it easy for people to shop will eventually go under and deserve to.
Years ago one of the original owners of HomeDepot said something similar to we did not ever take out a small business that did not deserve to go under.
The local business must not get it.
Offering mask and sanitizer is pretty simple and does not cost that much compared to advertising, staffing a store, street sign, etc.
The owner spends a lot on advertising to get people in the store.
The owner also spends a lot of money to hire salespeople to close that deal vs the customer leaving to shop online or a big box.
You probably were not the first nor will you be the last opportunity that walked in and right back out of that business which is a shame.
Seems like this business owner does not get it and eventually will not be around once times get rough.

quote:Weird. I went to buy feed at Tractor Supply on Friday. I had my mask (just to keep Karens happy). I was the only one wearing one........including the employees.
It's a tough spot for business owners. Not enforcing mask mandates could land them fines. It's what happens in communism.

We are almost a year into this so you really should have it figured out. Don't expect a business to pay for such a simple task and inconvenience on your part. I spend about $200 a week on masks for people like this. They are not cheap. Also, these people wear mask for 8-12 hours a day. What sympathy should they have for you?
Posted on 2/7/21 at 6:51 am to jmarto1
Yeah well we all can’t be perfect and have everything figured out like you do, apparently. The rest of us are actually human and forget things (like masks) from time to time.

So, keep forcing them to go elsewhere. Yeah, that is the ticket.
