With mask mandates being rolled back everywhere but LA (Thanks Sloth!), when do you plan on boycotting businesses that require masks? Up to this point, with business licenses being held hostage by various governors, there was a compelling reason to enforce the mandates. But what about when a business decides to keep it after the state drops it?

Also, there needs to be some sort of website that shows which companies are requiring masks with no government mandate so the general public can make decision about where to frequent without having to drive around town.

Why would I? If I need something from a place and they want me to wear a mask I will.

In Lafayette there are a few corporate (not many) and hipster places downtown that are Masked Covidians, the rest DGAF. I avoid the hipster places to begin with, as well as the corporate whores. They can GFThemselves.

If, and that's a big if, Newsome ever drops the mask mandate, I would immediately stop going to places that require them. Except for Walmart because I'm trashy.

If a business requires you to engage in an activity that you don’t want to engage in to avail yourself of its services, is it punishment to spend your money elsewhere?

Would you go to a restaurant that requires a mask after the mandates are dropped? Many have said they wouldn’t.

I haven’t worn a mask in Louisiana in months. And only a handful of times before then. If the place is adamant, I leave. Very few have been.

Same here, haven't worn one in months. If I go somewhere that says something about it, I just say fine I'll go spend my money elsewhere. They usually back off at that point, though I did leave one place that didn't. No one hardly ever says anything about it.

I had some errands to run that took me over to Walker today. Stopped at several places and never saw one mask. Here in Baton Rouge people still wear them heavily, so I hadn't seen that in a while. It was so nice to be out at places and there not be anyone with masks on.

I have no issue wearing a mask in a business if they request it.

Punishing themselves. This "mandate" is not enforceable, not to mention the useless frick State Fire Marshals aren't harassing businesses any longer over this bullshite.

I agree, that's why they should just post the stupid fricking notice on their door and nothing more.

The only place that I routinely go that cares about masks is my coffee shop. And no, I won’t boycott them because I like my coffee shop too much. Plus I’m in there for like 1 minute when I go.

Hell even Whole Foods doesn’t care about masks anymore.

Boycotting over a business policy that requires you to wear a piece of cloth for 25 minutes

I remember a time not so long ago when this would be about the most ludicrous statement a person could conceive.

I decided to stop wearing masks around BR a couple weeks ago. Haven’t had an issue until today when I had a clerk insist I wear one so I left my groceries in the cart and went down the street and bought them mask free with no issue. I have shopped at this store for over 15 years and been in 5-6 times recently without a mask. I have talked to the manager on other trips and had no issues. This is all fueled by people with no actual power trying to force their will on others and will not end until people stop allowing it to happen.
