Mark Wahlberg and his agents at WME have spun hard into damage control mode today, announcing that the actor—who was recently blasted in the public sphere for negotiating a $1.5 million reshoot fee on Ridley Scott’s All The Money In The World, while his co-star, Michelle Williams, was paid only a few thousand dollars for the same rushed work—will be giving the entire paycheck to Time’s Up, as a donation in Williams’ name.

quote:

“Over the last few days my reshoot fee for All The Money In The World has become an important topic of conversation. I 100 percent support the fight for fair pay and I’m donating the $1.5M to the Time’s Up Legal Defense Fund in Michelle Williams’ name.”

He shouldn't have to apologize for his agent being a better negotiator than Williams's agent

Wait, so he had something in his contract and is giving it up because the public is pissed? We'd never be so lucky with meddlin Ed Orgeron.

Then Williams needs to have a serious conversation with the agency head. Still not Marky Mark's fault in any way.

So Michelle Williams (who?) played the exact same character as Mark Wahlberg and will play the character just as well and will bring in just as much profits?

No.

I never said he was at fault. I was just pointing out the fault in your argument.

He's in a lot more scenes with Christopher Plummer than Williams is. He deserves more.
