It's a shame what Johnny Cochran and F Lee Bailey did to Fuhrman's career because by all accounts he was a stand up cop

(KTLA) – Mark Fuhrman, the disgraced Los Angeles police detective who discovered the infamous bloody glove in the O.J. Simpson murder case and later pleaded no contest to perjury, has died at age 74.
Fuhrman died May 12 in Idaho, where he had been living, after battling an aggressive form of cancer, a source told TMZ. He was hospitalized for roughly a week before his death.
The Kootenai County, Idaho, medical examiner’s office confirmed his death in a statement to KTLA.
“The death certificate is confidential in Idaho. There will be no other information provided through this office,” Chief Deputy Coroner Lynette Acebedo said.
Fuhrman’s testimony was central to the prosecution’s case against Simpson, who was accused of murdering his ex-wife, Nicole Brown Simpson, and her friend Ron Goldman outside her Brentwood home in June 1994.
Fuhrman testified that he discovered key evidence at Simpson’s Rockingham estate, most notably the bloody glove that prosecutors said linked the former football star turned actor to the killings.
Simpson’s defense team later produced a recording of Fuhrman using a racial slur, contradicting his earlier testimony that he had never done so. The recording opened the door for Simpson’s attorneys to argue that Fuhrman had planted evidence.
A jury ultimately found Simpson not guilty in what became known as “The Trial of the Century,” though he was later found civilly liable for the deaths of Brown Simpson and Goldman.
Fuhrman retired from the LAPD in 1995 and pleaded no contest to perjury the following year. He was sentenced to probation and a nominal fine. He later reemerged as a law enforcement forensics expert and commentator for Fox News.

Didn't he perjure himself and go on a racist tirade? And didn't he botch one of the key parts of the investigation? Tough to feel sorry for him

would have probably saved us a lot of grief…

He "found" almost all the evidence, was known to be openly racist, and served during a period where LAPD was known to be very corrupt.

The jury wanted an excuse to walk OJ and Fuhrman gave it to them on a silver platter.

A former journalist came forward and told OJs defense team that she had a 10 yo old recording of Fuhrman using the N word. She gave them the tape. They put Furhman on the stand and asked him if he had ever used the N word. He said no. They played the 10 yo recording for the jury and used it to discredit him and the LAPD. And a killer walked free because of it

No. You might be thinking of Det Vanatter who lost track of the chain of evidence for OJs blood

I'll say it again, he was only a stand up cop to the extent he was on the stand.
He fricked up everything he touched. Not my hero buddy

This is true
Since then the black jurors who have spoken publicly said they knew OJ was guilty. Remember, this was less than 2 years after the Rodney King trial. They wanted an excuse to let OJ walk

They would not have had one, if Furhman was credible

This the N word guy?
How our society lets that word have so much power is retarded. Especially when the respek crowd can’t say a sentence without it.
