I said it was dispensary bud, dumbass. So no, I wasn't smoking K2. And if you read my post, you'll see that I was simply offering a nuanced perspective for those stoners among us who are still convinced that consuming large amounts of 30% THC bud every single day has no negative side effects.

It stinks and the high sucks but other than that it’s less harmful than people that drink sodas all the time

100% The THC content of modern marijuana is multiple times higher than in the past. In the 70s, it was around 3%. Now, it is around 20-23%.
I’ve heard this before, is there not anymore of the 70s type of weed? That is a big increase from 3 percent to 23 percent.

Not really. You'd probably end up with better than that by chunking modern seeds in the back corner of your property and checking back in a few months. Most dispo's have 'mids' or even what used to be called dirt/ditch/Mexican for super cheap though. Or you can just have a toke or two of a quality strain rather than a joint.
People in these threads always knock modern weed for being bad for you because it's so potent but it seems like it's healthier to inhale a couple drags rather than whole joints and "lids" for the same effect.

Agree, but thats a whole other topic. We grew a lazy population on freebies just for votes and they nailed it..

A guy with anti-weed books writes an opinion piece saying weed is bad...

quote:This is a great example of admirable values clashing with effective policy. Given the severe unlikelihood that you’ll ever be free of taxation, and that weed is far from the only drain on our healthcare and welfare systems, the logical conclusion of your view is an increase in laws, bans, and taxes (i.e., soda or sugar taxes)- more government control- to restrict the public's ability to make poor decisions lest our taxes pay for it.
Yes, adults should have the right to make any and all decisions regarding their lives without external force, so long as their decisions do not infringe on others.
The problem we have is that, the way we currently function as a society, society itself, meaning all of us, has to carry the burden of poor decisions.
Once I no longer have to support the poor decision making of other individuals through taxation and governmental programs, I will fully agree with the idea that adults can make any and all decisions unimpeded.
Until then, frick that. If society is paying for an individuals medical care, disability, living expenses, etc., society should have a say in what you can and cannot do.
Life in a society is complicated, which is why policy guided by pragmatism often yields better results than policy based on ideology and how things would be in a perfect world.

From medical dispensary weed? Sure man. Weed's harmless. The problem is that the doctors are putting fentanyl in it to get us hooked.
Looks like daily use might affect reading comprehension. fricking idiot.

True.

Mostly true.

“It’s better than taking Xanax for those with anxiety”
True again. Much easier to stop weed than benzo's.
