I posted 11 minutes after the bump edit that link wasn’t working and still no response. Nothing like a year later bump and run

Looks more like the parking lot at Lakeside shopping center at Christmastime.

The Northshore had/has a lot more corruption than most realize or admit. Several people were made multi milti millionaires off of construction rackets alone.

I just finished the 4th episode, and Judy Edwards, wife of Judge Wallace Edwards looks interesting.

Beau Chene was and is unincorporated St. Tammany, I believe. Just a small detail.

Time for the OT to step up and solve this murder. Hopefully, the podcast will stir up some new interest

The problem is that after 34 years, short of a confession or discovery of a murder weapon, there really isn't much else to do with a 34 year old murder and the technology deficit really hampered that one.
These guys should do a podcast now on the Nanette Krentel murder while things are still fresh (relatively speaking). STPSO just shoved that one in a drawer for whatever reason.

Worth a bump. New podcast about this case...
Gone South - Podcast
I am surprised this went 9 pages before it was mentioned. Interesting podcast on the case. They release a new episode every Wednesday I believe.
One thing that appalled me was her dog would not leave her side and would not allow authorities to approach the body. So what did they do? Firemen sprayed the dog with a fire extinguisher. Not only cruel but it corrupted any forensic evidence that may have been at the scene.

The podcast mention was the first bump. The first 8 pages are from 2017-2018. Somebody knows and they just aren't talking. It's self-preservation and I really don't blame them.
The killer was someone who was or knew somebody and had some dirt on them. Then the word got out to shut-it down. The Sheriff, at the time, eventually just retires... Then the new Sheriff eventually is convicted of Sex crimes that occurred around the same time...

I couldn’t believe it when they said Judy Edwards took the dog after Margaret was murdered. But the preview for the next episodes made it seem like there’s more to the story. But for now, Judy is the best suspect.

Judging by the scope of corruption (see e.g Strain and Reed) at the highest levels it's not a stretch to see this as a massive cover up to protect the likely high profile killer(s). As crazy as that Burns guy comes off, I tend to believe him.

Just my opinion but anytime a woman in power is murdered you should automatically think pedo discovery. Women tend to have a low tolerance for pedo behavior and typically go to the songbird route when found which subjects them to being murdered. They also tend to like to gossip and talk to other women about it first which gives time for the targets to find out and set them up.
Men, on the other hand, tend to fall into two camps. "Im in. Im totally in." OR Gary Plauche.

Great bump.
Damn I thought I know a lot about this horrible crime but this already has a ton of new information just halfway though the first episode.

Everything about it says “hit” to me.
Her father spent a lot trying to figure it out before he died. Sad story that will likely not have a resolution.

Crazy that she had over 100,000 worth of jewelry on when she was murdered and the killer didn't take any of it.

Two family law attorneys working in the same/similar jurisdiction. Run a report to find common cases. Cross reference the results against pending matters at time if murder.
