Totally agree. Grab some drinks and head uptown. Wish I was down there but I’m attempting to take it easy in advance of the weekend.

Nothing like seeing a guy with a "Repent" sign and a Jesus saves T-shirt on and then another guy walking beside him with a "Show Me Dat Butthole" sign

The old guard men are out in suits eating at the nice restaurants, the yokels haven’t fully come into town, and it’s got a great feeling of anticipation.

Doesn’t seem as crowded as it was pre-Covid. Some of the largest Mardi Gras crowds of all time were in the early 2000’s.

Nola is the states gravy train. Tourism should be welcomed. I have no problem with nola. The crime is nothing new. There’s been crime there for hundreds of years. It’s part of the city’s culture.

Ok, but by all accounts and statistics, it’s gotten exponentially worse than ever before.

I was worried for family going this year that it might not be safe. But thankfully they are all wearing masks.

There is a girl on the karaoke cam that might not be too bad. Too poor of a camera picture to tell for sure.

Wonder how many god-fearing men tell their wives the lord has called them to hold up a sign during mardigras but its just actually a cover for them wanting to see some tittays. You know they don't hate it when it happens.

Some things are at their worst and some things aren't as bad as the early to mid 90s.

Honestly Mardi Gras does not seem very crowded at all this year.
